This Privacy Statement explains how we protect your privacy and: Resinet collects most personal information directly from you or your conveyancer/solicitor at the time of settlement on behalf of its Owners corporation clients. As the manager of a we are required to maintain a register of the names and addresses of all owners. Resinet requests and holds additional personal Information including: telephone numbers, email address and real estate managers. Additionally Resinet may request tenants to provide their name, telephone numbers and email address. On occasions we may need to source personal information about you from a third party. We may also collect information about a person from publicly available sources such as land title registries. Personal information requested by Resinet, other than the owner's name and address, does not have to be provided. However, without that information, we may not be able to provide an appropriate level of service. We may provide personal information about you to third parties when we contract out certain business. These include among others maintenance-people and the like. We require that organisations outside Resinet who handle or obtain personal information as service providers to us acknowledge the confidentiality of this information, undertake to respect any individual's right to privacy and comply with the National Privacy Principles and this Privacy Statement. We also require that these organisations use this information only for our purposes and otherwise follow our reasonable directions with respect to this information. We do not collect any sensitive information (information about a person's racial or ethnic origin, political persuasion, membership of any political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association or trade union, sexual preferences or practices, criminal record or health information). Under the Owners Corporations Act 2006, the owners corporation is required to keep the full name and address of each member. On request of a member, mortgagee or a representative of a lot, the records of the owners corporation (including name and address of members) must be made available for inspection at any reasonable time. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties unless we are entitled or required to do so. If you do not want us to use or disclose any personal information we hold about you in any of the ways described in this Privacy Statement, please advise the Privacy officer in writing at the address provided below. We hold personal information in a combination of secure computer storage facilities and paper based files and other records and take steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We use secure methods to destroy or de-identify any personal information as soon as the law permits, provided the information is no longer needed by us for any purpose. You can help us to protect your privacy by contacting us immediately when you change contact details, such as address and telephone number.
